Garden Remedies Ranks Among 2023 Best Cannabis Companies To Work For By Cannabis Business Times

Cleveland, OH, (February 3, 2023) — Cannabis Business Times (Cannabis Business Times) announced today that Garden Remedies was selected as an honoree in the 2023 Best Cannabis Companies To Work For – Cultivation and Dispensary awards. Interviews with leaders from companies that earned the distinction as one of the Best Cannabis Companies to Work For are available in the February issue of Cannabis Business Times magazine.

The awards program recognizes companies across the cannabis industry that excel in creating quality workplaces for employees. Leading industry publication and Cannabis Conference producer Cannabis Business Times developed the awards in partnership with the Best Companies Group (BCG), a global research organization that conducts employee survey engagement and satisfaction surveys. Through this work, Cannabis Business Times and BCG identify and recognize employers in the cannabis cultivation and dispensary industry and provide organizations with valuable employee feedback.

“For the past four years, Cannabis Business Times has published ‘The Best Cannabis Companies to Work For – Cultivation and Dispensary’ rankings and features, which recognize businesses that have created environments where employees feel they are valued, are celebrated for work well done and have opportunities to grow,” said Michelle Simakis, editor-in-chief of Cannabis Business Times, which provides plant-touching cannabis companies actionable intelligence in all aspects of the business through its daily e-newsletter, website, monthly magazine, webinars and its in-person Cannabis Conference. “The companies that ranked on this year’s list are engaging their teams despite the particularly challenging time and the regulatory and economic pressures straining the industry.”

“We are honored to be recognized for this award,” said Jeff Herold, CEO of Garden Remedies. “This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, who have created a strong and supportive environment.”

The Best Cannabis Companies To Work For awards are based on a comprehensive evaluation of each participating company’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics — accounting for 25% of the evaluation. Company employees also were surveyed (anonymously, responses produced in aggregate) to assess the experiences and attitudes of individual employees with respect to the workplace — accounting for 75% of each company’s total score.

BCG managed the overall registration and survey process. For companies to participate, they met several eligibility requirements including: operating a cultivation or dispensary business; being a public or privately held business or not-for-profit operation based in the U.S. or Canada; having a minimum of 15 full-time or part-time employees and operating their business for a minimum of one year, among others. Full eligibility requirements can be found here. After a comprehensive analysis of the data and the combined scores, BCG then used its expertise to determine the final ranking.
