Meet Gloobz: A Black Label Favorite Finds a New Home in the Sweet Realm

Some favorites deserve an encore.

If you’ve been following Garden Remedies flower for a while, Gloobz might already be a familiar name. This in-house cross of Blurberry x Delicata Grapes 8 first made its mark as a Black Label favorite.

This winter, we brought those genetics back for another look as part of our Bounty Hunter pheno hunt.

The mission? Hunt through the genetics, find the expression that stood out, and see if Gloobz could earn a permanent place in the Realm.

The hunt paid off.

Just in time for spring, Gloobz is back—and this fan favorite has officially found a new home in the Sweet Realm.

From Black Label to Bounty Hunter

Before Gloobz entered the Realm, fans first got to know Blurberry x Delicata Grapes 8 through our Black Label lineup.

But great genetics can still have more to explore.

This winter, our cultivation and genetics teams put Gloobz through the Bounty Hunter process, pheno hunting the cross to find the individual expression we wanted to carry forward.

So, what exactly does that mean?

Welcome to the Pheno Hunt

When our cultivation team works with genetics like Blurberry x Delicata Grapes 8, they can start by popping a number of seeds from the same cross.

Those plants share parents, but they aren’t necessarily identical.

Think of siblings. Same family, different individual characteristics.

Cannabis plants can work similarly. Individual plants—or phenotypes—can express differences in aroma, flavor, flower structure, growth characteristics, and more.

That’s when the hunt begins.

Our team grows those plants, takes clones, and eventually gets the opportunity to evaluate the finished flower from each selection.

Which one stands out?

Which expression best represents what we’re looking for?

And most importantly: which one earns the bounty?

From a Cutting to the Sweet Realm

Early in the process, our cultivation team takes cuttings from the plants being evaluated.

Those little cuttings become clones. The clones develop roots, grow into full-sized plants, and eventually make their way into our flowering rooms.

That’s where we really begin to see what each phenotype can do.

During the Bounty Hunter stage, we’re exploring these early selections before we necessarily know everything about them. We get to experience the aroma, flavor, flower, and eventual testing as the hunt unfolds.

For Gloobz, one of those selections gave our team what it was looking for.

And this spring, that selection graduated from Bounty Hunter to the Sweet Realm.

A Familiar Favorite, Rediscovered

Crack open Gloobz and fruit notes are among the first things to greet you.

For our reviewer, the experience that followed was equally memorable: relaxed muscles, a clear mind, and a fruity flavor that made another taste sound pretty appealing.
