Meet Fruit of the Moon: A New In-House Cross Enters the Fruit Realm

Sometimes you open a jar and immediately know you've got to talk about what's inside.

Fruit of the Moon was one of those jars.

The first thing that got our attention was the flower itself. One enormous nug that barely needed an introduction.

POW.

Meet Fruit of the Moon, an in-house Garden Remedies cross of The Fruit x Moon Drops 4 and one of the latest cultivars to find a home in our Fruit Realm.

If you've spent some time exploring our genetics, you might recognize those names. And if you've enjoyed Juiceman, Spritzer, The Fruit, or Moon Drops in the past, this is one you'll want to get acquainted with.

The Fruit x Moon Drops 4

Fruit of the Moon brings together two familiar pieces of the Garden Remedies genetic library.

The Fruit brings exactly what its name promises, while Moon Drops 4 adds another layer to a cross that's packed with sweet, fruit-forward character.

The result feels a little like getting the best parts of several Garden Remedies favorites together in one cultivar.

It's fruity. It's sweet.

And it earned its place in the Fruit Realm pretty quickly.

Welcome to the Fruit Realm

Realm is our way of making flower exploration a little more intuitive.

Instead of expecting everyone to memorize genetics or chase an endless list of cultivar names, we organize Realm flower around five flavor and aroma destinations: Sweet, Fruit, Floral, Fuel, and Earth.

Fruit of the Moon lands firmly in Fruit.

This is the Realm for bright, juicy, fruit-forward profiles, and Fruit of the Moon delivers exactly the kind of character you'd hope to find when you open the jar.

For anyone who gravitates toward fruitier cultivars, it's an easy place to start exploring.

Familiar Genetics, Something New

One of the most exciting parts of developing new genetics is seeing what happens when familiar cultivars come together.

You might recognize pieces of the parents, but the offspring gets to have a personality all its own.

That's exactly what makes Fruit of the Moon interesting.

Fans of The Fruit and Moon Drops will find plenty that's familiar here, while anyone who enjoyed the bright personality of cultivars like Juiceman or Spritzer may find another reason to explore this cross.

Our initial impression was an uplifting experience that felt a little less racy than some of the Spritzer cultivars can be.*

It's familiar territory with a new destination.

Grown and Selected In-House

Fruit of the Moon is another example of the work happening behind the scenes with the Garden Remedies genetics and cultivation teams.

Creating an in-house cross is only the beginning.

From there, plants have to be grown and evaluated to find the individual expressions worth continuing. Flower structure, aroma, flavor, cultivation performance, and overall character can all help distinguish one selection from another.

Not every cross makes it through that process.

That's what makes opening a jar containing one that did so rewarding.

And when the first thing staring back at you is a nug that looks like it could fill the entire grinder?

Even better.

Fruit of the Moon Has Landed

The Fruit x Moon Drops 4: Big flower. Sweet character. Plenty of fruit.

Fruit of the Moon takes some familiar Garden Remedies genetics and turns them into something new, giving Fruit Realm fans another cultivar to explore.

If The Fruit, Moon Drops, or Juiceman Spritzer have made it into your rotation before, keep an eye out for this one.

Look for Realm flower at Garden Remedies in 1/8 oz jars, half-ounce bags, full-ounce bags, and pre-rolls, with formats and availability varying by location.
